Our Mission
The mission of Sustainable Engineering & Education Development (SEED), in partnership with Engineers Without Borders - Georgia Tech, is to empower the greater Atlanta community by fostering academic motivation and supporting education through sustainable nutrition. We are dedicated to sharing the resources and knowledge that students at this institution are fortunate to have, in order to cultivate hope and passion for learning in younger generations. Additionally, we aim to combat food insecurity by providing the community with access to fresh produce that fuels both their bodies and minds.
To accomplish this, our project takes a three-pronged approach: designing and funding the construction of a sustainable greenhouse that doubles as an outdoor classroom, implementing monthly STEM workshops for early engineering exposure and hands-on curriculum, and utilizing the greenhouse to provide fresh produce to students, parents, and community members. This will create lasting change by developing a comprehensive, self-sustaining solution that makes a significant step toward ending food insecurity and bridging educational gaps for the next generation of leaders and problem-solvers.
